RESEARCH FEES:
No charge is made for answering minor inquiries or research requests. More extensive research may be undertaken at the discretion of the archivist and research team, subject to the availability of material in the Archives. Generally, research outside of the Archives holdings is not undertaken. The fee for extended research is $35 per hour (one-hour minimum; tax included). Additional amounts are charged for any photocopying, postage or express delivery, long distance calls, etc.
PHOTOCOPY FEES:
At the discretion of the archivist, photocopies of files and documents are provided for a fee of 20 cents per page. The fee for coloured photocopies is 50 cents per page.
PHOTOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTION:
Photographic reproductions of images in the archives may be obtained in various formats (photocopies, digital files in various resolutions, prints from negatives or glass plates, etc.), depending on their intended use and at the discretion of the archivist. Fees go toward the cost of conserving the photographic collection.
FEES FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTIONS:
Standard fees are specified below (taxes included), although additional fees may apply according to intended use. Please contact us for more information.
Prints from film negatives or glass plate negatives: $5.00 per image or more, depending on size, colour or B/W, etc.
Digital image files or prints, $5.00 per image or more, depending on resolution and size. DVD or CD provided: $5 extra.
Any mailing costs are extra.
COPYRIGHT PROTECTION:
Reproduction of archival material by whatever means for use in research or other purposes is subject to Canadian copyright law requirements and the condition of items. Permission to use reproductions of archival photographs or other material for the purposes of display, advertising, marketing, or other commercial purposes must be applied for in writing to the archivist for consideration, and additional service fees may apply. Credit must be given to the WHA in all articles, publications and displays: “Courtesy of the Westmount Historical Association”.
